The 2008 Fastest Time of the Day Harrogate Audi Harewood Speed Hillclimb Championship consists of 8 rounds, with the best 6 scores counting.
Cars range from road going saloons, through sportscars to full blown single seater racers powered by F1 engines, although not suprisingly single seater race cars tend to dominate the FTD championship. A selection of championship competitor photos are shown.
Entrants in the main Harewood Championship are automatically entered in the FTD championship. Competitors must be members of BARC(Y).
Championship scores are awarded 10 points for FTD down to 1 point for 10th place.
In addition to the 8 championship rounds, there will be two other hill climbs - a Classic & Vintage event and an MSA British Championship round.
Visiting classes at Harewood include bikes, MG, Ferrari, Porsche, TVR, Scimitar, Austin Healey, Caterham, Aston Martin and Ginetta.
There are excellent viewing facilities and spectators can get close to the trackside, cars and drivers.
Harewood Hillclimb is north of Leeds on the A659 between Harewood village and Collingham.
