DescriptionChampionship for Modified / Standard Saloons and Sports cars in 4 classes.Championship based at Pembrey with 2 away rounds. All meetings 3 x15 min Races with 15min qualifying.
The WSSCC is for modified and standard saloons and roadsports cars. Sports racing cars are not eligable.The Championship is based at Pembrey with up to 2 away rounds 1 at Anglesey for 2008. All meetings are of the same format 1 15min qualifying and 3x15 min races. The class structure is:
Class A up to 1600cc.
Class B 1601cc to 2000cc
Class C Over 2001cc
Class D BTCC cars, re-engined cars
Eurocars V8 stars and any Caterham type car or kit car that has a bench mark time of less than 64 secs at Pembrey.
To ensure as much competition as possible and for safety reasons all cars will be capped at a lap time of 60 secs at Pembrey. Any car exceeding this will be ballested to bring the lap time over the 60 sec limit.
Guest competitors are very welcome to join us for 1 or more races but wont score championship points.
Registration for the Championship is £125 which includes a free test day at Pembrey in March.This is provided by our main sponser Pembrey Performance Driving School. This day is almost exclusive to the Championship so there is plenty of track time, so a very cheap test day.
You will be given a very warm welcome from the regular Championship contenders who can be found in the WSSCC Race Centre which is located in the Paddock at each meeting. Our Race Day coordinator is Janice Williams who will be pleased to sort out any queries.
So if you are looking for some good racing, good camaraderie plenty of fun come join the Welsh Sports Saloon Car Championship.
