The all-new Caterham Superlight R300 Championship, slotting between Roadsport-A and the current Superlight C400 - starts 2009!

New for the 2009 season, Caterham Motorsport is pleased to announce the Caterham Superlight R300 Championship.

Slotting into the performance and cost gap between Roadsport-A and the current Superlight (C400) series, the all new Superlight R300 is a fully-fledged race car, with 170bhp, six-speed gearbox and limited slip differential. 0-60mph will be dispatched in around 4 seconds, whilst the 1:1 ratio 6th gear, coupled to the powerful engine, means that drivers will be able to exploit the car's full potential in every gear.

Visually, the R300 shares its appearance with its more powerful stable-mate; complete with aluminium half-tonneau and boot cover.

As with all Caterham racing, the tight technical regulations ensure a level playing field of cars, whilst development has focused on ensuring durability and low running costs. Race meetings will all double-header rounds of 30 minute races and team support is allowed, for those that prefer to just arrive and drive.
