ENTER THE PPC £999 CHALLENGE...

We’ve found out how fast you can go for £200 and had a lot of fun. Now it’s your turn to put your car against the clock and the competition.
Reckon you’ve got a car you’ve built, or can build a car for less than a grand that’s faster than everyone else’s? Then you need to enter the PPC £999 Challenge. The rules are simple and there aren’t many of them – the car needs to be road legal, roadworthy and have a current MOT, and it needs to have cost you less than £999 including purchase price. You don’t need to show us receipts and you’re allowed to sell some parts off it to offset the costs, but don’t turn up in an Impreza STi and expect us to believe it cost you £500, or arrive with a one-off titanium engine block and claim it’s okay because you work for McLaren. Basically, stay true to the spirit of the competition and we’ll have a great laugh.
Entries are now closed for the first event on Saturday October 13 at York Raceway, but fear not because we’ll be running another next spring for those that want to build something really special. So get in touch if you want to enter. The competition will be split into two events – a drag race and a timed slalom course so performance and handling will be essential if you want to wear the PPC crown.
